Student body of Port Moresby Technical College (POMTECH) is made of students from multi-cultured backgrounds.  They are ambitious and eager to learn and achieve their dream trades therefore, they have no regrets to take up courses offered here at POMTECH. Students who are eager to learn and achieve their future goals as a “Tradesman” in his/her trade course of his/her interest seriously remain until the end of the Academic year. 

Port Moresby Technical College has been producing a lot of productive students in the various trade courses taken up here at the POMTECH College.  Most students after graduating from POMTECH were successful with employment with various business houses/organizations.  Some continued and furthered their education through to other Tertiary Institutions such as the University of Technology, Lae and University of Papua New Guinea.

POMTECH has set a bench mark in 2019 with students from “Printing & Graphics” after graduating from POMTECH with a Diploma went on to further their studies at the University of Papua New Guinea in order to graduate with a Degree in Printing & Graphics.  This indicates that POMTECH is capable of producing best and qualified students.

The “Electrical” Trade Course has also introduced it’s “Diploma” Course since 2019.  Students who graduated with a Diploma can continue to Advance Diploma in Electrical. A step forward for the Electrical students.

POMTECH now having a WEBSITE as the latest and NEW ADVANCED technology onboard, more and more students are now obtaining applications online and instead of requesting for the applications to be emailed or mailed to the applicants.  This has also indicated that there is an increase for the in-takes in 2021 Academic year.  The new Website now makes life more easier and efficient for students who are residing outside of Port Moresby. 

They simply obtain data on their devices and enquire online instead of calling directly enquiring on various matters concerning eligibility to apply. It is now like bringing service to your door-steps with the new website technology.
